Trick or Treat

So Friday was our trick or treat night... we didn't want to go long and Keith and i needed a date night sooo... we went on post for 1/2 hour and then picked up our babysitter and took her back home... Lukas was a carebear tonight... You can imagine that paint from being a smurf was not easy to get off either...so Stacey gave us this costume and we decided to use it tonight.. not to mention that Lukas absolutely loves to wear it!

So we got a citation from our home owners association about our front yard... i was a bit miffed but oh well.. it got Keith to brake down and let me do something with it... I have really bad before photos from when we bought the house and then after photos in the dark! oh well...


Ok.. This was the far left before... not too bad.. but the flowers grew and then kinda died over and were looking more like a weed.

Ok.. Again not too bad except everything had over grown and looked like bad weeds... and i really didn't care for the railroad ties.

So $60.00 later...
My new landscaping.. again it is in the dark so you cant appreciate it all but i will try to get some in the light next week.

Keith did most of the work but i did get my knees dirty too...

Trunk or Treat

Wednesday night was a tri ward Trunk or Treat... Lukas went as baby smurf... Some people got it and others didn't... I think he looked adorable!

Close-up... And YES it was very difficult to get him to sit still while i put that make-up on.. The hairspray though was actually harder... I was a bit disappointed though cuz the hairspray was suppose to be the same color blue as the paint.. OH well!!

It is amazing how different the blues look in different light... This is at home... see my craft table and what a mess!!

Busch Gardens

SO we live 15-20 mins away from Busch Gardens and they do a salute to the heros where once a year active duty and their families get in free... so we went... had a great time.. All three of us went in the moring and then we took Lukas to a babysitters so keith and i could ride the big rides... all in all a $150.00 day cost us about $45 for babysitting and food!! NOT BAD!

Keith had to take him on all the kids rides... Those things make me sicker than a dog on chocolate!

So this was a boat ride for kids only!!! I was sooo nervous... I felt like a mom watching her 16 yr old drive for the first time!!! HE Had a BLAST!!

The Jobs!

Well we all know Keith is Active Duty in the Army... YEAH!!! ={ He is enjoying some of it and other parts not so much.. "We" are in the process of applying for Warrent Officer School so Keith can fly helicopters! Not only would we make twice as much!!! but he would have a better paying job so we could get out possibly. Also i would then be an officers wife!! NOT that that is everything but it definitley has its perks!
I was for 6 weeks a care giver for Courtney Aaron.. She is an 18 year old with CP (Cerable Palsey SP??) IT was so much fun.. She is such a sweet girl.. Loves the phone and internet and was just so agreeable most of the time! She also LOVED having Lukas around.

Keith and I both applied and tried out for Busch Gardens "Scare Squad" and we got parts. However after the first weekend i was exhausted and got very very sick the next week so i had to quite. I think the appeal is wearing off of Keith too but he is sticking with it only 2 weekends left... Ill see if i can get a picture of what he looks like in his costume!

We bought our FIRST HOUSE (together- i owned one previously which Dave and Stacey now own!) It is a cute little townhome about 1400 Square feet! and BONUS it has a spare bedroom!! and yes we have a sleeper sofa!!! So anyone up for a visit!

Hill Camorah Trip

Ok... so i am REALLY BAD at this blogging thing but hey im not even sure anybody reads it!!!
Anyways Lukas is playing so i might get a bit done here... Looks like i was at the Hill Camorah... WOW what a wonderful experiance... The pageant has changed a bit so i didn't enjoy it as much as previous years but it was still FABULOUS and not to mention that Dave and Keith were both seeing it for the first time!!! Keith really got a lot out of it being a convert to the Church and not growing up on Living Scriptures videos!! We just had a great time and the car ride to boot... lets see... we had Lukas, Aiden and Will on the back row of the van (I should have gotten pics!!) Keith and Dave in the captians chairs and Stacey and I up front (we both get car sick easily!) IT was a blast! NOT!!! the camping was also less then desirable too! But Oh Well...

Ohio Visit!

During all the madness of moving we spent some time in Ohio... Lukas and I more than Keith of course... Things that happen... Well Lukas got to spend some time with all of his local cousins: Will (BUBBY) Aiden, Lana (his newest cousin!), Leia, Spencer, and Nathan! He also got to see his aunts and uncles too... Stacey and Dave, Stephanie and Chad, Lisa and Eddie, Jared, and Gary and Sarah. and best of all the grandparents... Grandma and Grandpa & Grandma Joan! Also we got to spend some great time with some of my old high school friends... We saw Jennifer and her husband and had a great time... I forgot about alot and it was so funny to remember... How much stuff in High School just doesn't matter any more yet it was the end of the world back then!!! Man it is weird... It is even weirder to know that i graduated 7 years about this December!! Man time flies!!
One of our biggest thing in ohio was of course was seeing his Uncle Jared return from his mission!!! Jared had never met Lukas and Lukas him of course so we wanted to make sure that we were there... Man that boy hasn't changed except gotten more driven!!! It was so good to see him back safely and see how much he loved the Mexican people. WELCOME HOME JARED!!
Other events were the Fourth of July which i spent in Newport News because i was closing on the house but Lukas spent with his cousins bubby and aiden... See stacey't blog for immediate pics otherwise i will add them when i get to them.. We did however go to Houston Woods for fireworks when i got back to i did get to see lukas reactions! He didn't really care for the loud booms... you think he wouldn't mind though considering all the ceramonies that we went to for the Army and they shot guns and canons off all the time!

July with the Army Asp's

Well our adventures keep on coming and we are trying very hard to stay positive about everything.  Keith is still in El Paso TX finishing up his last 3 days of work there... Then he is off to Virginia for a quick flash and then back to my very lonely arms in Ohio... Lukas and I continue to have a blast hanging out and just relaxing... Recently i went to Virginia to close on our new house.. Pictures to come... and Lukas stayed behind with his 2 cousins and favorite aunt of course.  He spent the 4th of July with them but luckily delayed fireworks show let me be there on Sunday to see him react... Much like his cousin he was not to thrilled more by the lights than the sound... Our frequent "ceremonies" from several Army events kinda prepared us for the "booms".   It was a blast... Just wish his daddy could have been there...

Keith comes this next week and we can't wait... finally we are done with El Paso and the unit he is in... We keep praying that the next one is better... Quickly after Keith returns from Virginia we head out to the Hill Camorah Pageant to see my Mom, Dad, and Jared... (Spoil of War, Noah Citizen, and YES Wilderness NEPHI!!) He is so excited and the girls are going crazy over him... I hear he has a girl in particular so who knows... I mean he is "available!"  Anyways after the weekend of camping and the pageant we have to quickly head back to Virginia so i can start a 5 week job... I am going to be a "companion" to an 18 year old girl with a disability... Then in September i will look for a night job or another one i can take Lukas too... Our plans were to stay a bit longer in Ohio but we could really use the money and it was a great opportunity... So off we will go and start fresh in VA!
